Jeremy Hunt and BBC bias
Jeremy Hunt is angry about the way people at the BBC vote:
Hunt said: "I think if you were to discover how people vote at the BBC there are probably more who vote Labour or for the Liberal Democrats than the Conservatives."
Yes, although that might not be because of some awful liberal-left conspiracy at the Beeb. It might be because most people across the country vote Labour or Lib Dem than Conservative, which Jeremy seems to have forgotten. In the 2010 general election, the Tories got about 10.7 million votes, Labour 8.6 million, Lib Dems 6.8 million. In order for most people at the BBC to be voting Conservative, it would have to be completely skewed away from the way the British people vote.
Or maybe that's what he wants?

I was tickled by this particular bit:
“Hunt went out of his way to praise much that the BBC does, saying it made fantastic programmes and provided unparalleled news coverage. He also said its journalists put their commitment to fair-minded reporting above “political affiliations”.”
If their political affiliations aren’t affecting their work, then what exactly is his point? That they don’t vote for him? Diddums.

And with gurning twit Andrew Marr as political editor, the Tories really don’t have anything to complain about.

Neil, Robinson… what more do they want?
December 12th, 2010 - 17:18
Yeah, I meant Nick Robinson but Marr was hardly John Cole or Robin Day either.

If you read some right-wing blogs (order-order.com, for example) you’ll discover that Nick Robinson is actually totally sycophantic to Brown and Labour, as is everyone at the totally biased BBC. Also, Gordon Brown is gay (his wife is a beard, he actually hates – and possibly abuses – her) and likes having fizzy orange syphoned up his bottom. All stuff that the biased media refuses to report.

So has Berkshire Hunt (If he can make assumptions about people’s voting habits, then I’m allowed to make assumptions about where he’s from) not cottoned on to the fact that those who tend to vote to “conserve” will be working for Daddy’s friend, the other merchant banker, thereby further reducing the proportion of “blue” in the pool of talent available to work at the Beeb?
Spot on point from Jamie there too.

Well of course Conservatives don’t work at the BBC – it is a public sector institution after all. And as we know only workshy, layabout, good-for-nothing grifters work in the public sector spending all the tax-payer’s money and waiting until they can draw those gold-plated pensions of theirs. Of course Central Government is the exception that proves the rule…
/sarcasm (just in case…)

He just didn’t like that they called him a cunt.

Has Jeremy *unt forgotten that he’s in a coalition with the Lib Dems?
December 13th, 2010 - 10:25
Cunty can go cry me a river, the Tories have Sky News as their quasi-official media outlet.

It’s kind of disturbing. He’s on a path to suggesting that members of a publicly funded organisation should be voting in a way of which he approves.
The way the members of the BBC vote is none of your business, Mr. Cunt.
