Priorities, priorities…

You know those floods in Pakistan recently that killed thousands and displaced millions, creating an ongoing human crisis devastating huge areas of the country? Well they did something even worse...

Yes, friends. It's even worse than we feared. The era of the £2 t-shirt and £4 pair of jeans could be coming to an end. Those selfish bastards, saving themselves and their families, instead of our cheap Primark clothes!

Oh, the humanity...

  1. and apparently (i say that because i didn’t see it) this was covered in the recently launched o gain more viewers, expensive and not-at-all-rubbish Daybreak on ITV

  2. “It’s just horrific,” said Mrs Jones, 34. “Where will I get new pyjamas to walk round Tesco in now?”

  3. This even made it to the front page of today’s Express. I’m fairly sure the Pakistan floods never did…

  5. You do have to wonder how fucking shallow and ridiculously banal someones life and thought processes have to be when they write/edit/OK a story that complains about a devastating flood that causes horrific catastrophe to millions of fellow human beings in the context of cheap T-shirts and jeans (slave wages/exploitation).

I’m sure it’s at least two and a half posts since I used to word, and I’m trying to wean myself of it, but the people involved in creating this story are prize-winning cunts.

  6. Charity shops, people!

(I could say more, but other people got there first, and good for them)

  7. Not all of us can afford decent quality clothes. While Primark can be ridiculously cheap and highly questionable, downplaying this story is bullshit.

    • Yes, because clearly the worst thing to come out of these recent natural disasters (which the Mail and Express never seemed to consider front page material at the time) is the possibility of clothes being a bit more expensive in the future.
