Thanks
Look, I'm overwhelmed. Genuinely. I have agonised about writing this morning's post for a while; it's been building for some time.
Thanks for all the comments on the article earlier, I do mean that. And all the emails and Twitter and everything. I will reply to everyone, but there have been quite a lot, I've been really surprised - pleasantly surprised.
I'm not going anywhere. That's the main thing. It might change here a bit, but I'm not going anywhere. For all the support, the kind words, the fact you turn up and read this every day, thank you. It does mean a lot.
And that's that for now.

Awful, just awful. If this is the new direction this blog is taking then count me out sir.
I bid you good evening.
I said good evening sir.

I don't bother reading any of the comments underneath your missives. I just read what you have to say and that's that. I suspect that a lot of others treat your site in the way I do.
There are a lot of sites that do a great job of shreeding the arguments from the tabloids but I come here before I look at any of the others. I understand that people like Stephen Fry pop in to have a look too. In fact, I think it might have been him that took me to here in the first place.
So don't worry about the silly comments. If you stopped doing this or changed the way you run this site because of a few silly comments that few bother to read anyway then these people have won, haven't they? You're doing an excellent job.
As a matter of interest, what happened to Angry Mob? Maybe I'm being dim, but I can't find it any more.

I'll offer one little piece of advice. Revamp your blog design. You'll be amazed at the effect it can have on what and how you blog. If you can't do it yourself I'm sure there are plenty of readers who would be happy to help. I'd offer myself but my knowledge of Blogger is very limited.
Try it.

I like it as it is.
And thanks for doing it!

Well, what's the new thing? You don't have to confine yourself to ripping on the DM and Associates. If you have the words in your head, type them.

I didn't comment/email to your last post, but I am very glad that you've made the decision to stay….

Change can be a good thing. Don't be afraid of it. But don't go away.

At risk of repeating what others have said, it's your blog, so write about whatever you like.
I read everything you write on here, it is often the first site I visit on getting into work. You are an excellent writer, you make me laugh but also make me think. Thank you

i totally understand, i get the same thing with my blog, when i open up a comment and think 'oh man! the MRA again! why do they keep coming back!' it is demotivating, depressing and tiring and that is why there are often big gaps on my blog…but seriously, this is one of the best blogs i've found and i love reading it. i don't know how you find the energy to write so regularly, and so well. (gush gush i know)
we bristolian bloggers need to stick together after all!
