Telegraph can’t be bothered with dog-whistles; goes for straight racism

From Melanie McDonagh in the Telegraph, arguing for a 'middle-class baby boom' to stop foreigners and lower-class people from dominating the country. Something to offend everyone, including anyone with a fucking brain:

it's not the mortgage-paying, marrying middle classes who are having the babies

...

More than half the increase is attributable to mothers born outside the UK, and many of those mothers born here will be second generation immigrants. Of the indigenous mothers, many are in their twenties and some of the increase there is attributable to more generous benefits.

...

most middle-class girls tend not to have children in their twenties, which is probably when we should have them

...

The people most likely to take their views to heart are the agonised Anglo-Saxon liberals, for whom excess fecundity is never going to be much of a problem in the first place. They don't seem to cut much ice with the Somali mothers you see in West London.

So there you have it. The Telegraph can't be bothered with the subtleties of dog-whistling any more - sure, there's an 'indigenous' in there to give a nudge and a wink to those of us who might not have twigged, but the stuff about 'second generation immigrants' and 'Somali mothers' is just plain racism. Vile, tedious, dirty racism that shouldn't be anywhere fucking near a national newspaper, let alone a supposedly 'quality' one. But there's the modern Telegraph for you.

Underneath the article are charming comments from readers, including:

It is not really the single uneducated low-IQ mother towing a noisy brood of dirty pleblets from a neighborhood where contraceptive chemicals should be fed in the drinking water and the local lager, which deserves celebration.

Welcome to dhimmitude folks.

Anybody "white" with more than two brain-cells to rub together will have long departed these isles and their descendants will be enjoying life in Spain, the USA, the Antipodes etc etc.
ZaNuLabs master plan for the Peoples Islamic Republic of Britain will at long last have reached fruition.

I do not want to share my community with foreigners. Does that make me racist?

Ooh! Ooh! Let me answer that one! Yes you are.

  1. As an Irish woman reading that article by Ms McDonagh I feel very ashamed and disgusted. There was a time, not in the too distant past, when Irish immigrants were scorned and abused in England, just like the African communities she so disparagingly refers to. Just because her skin is white and she's Christian she managed to ingratiate herself into middle class English society. She is no more indigenous to England than a Somalian, the stupid cow.

  2. Irish coming over here… copying our racism.

  3. I like the way the bitch starts going on about foreigners invading our country just after she's talked about her youth growing up in Ireland.

So when you say foreigners Ms McDonagh I assume you're talking about cunts like you. Oh wait, the Irish are nice friendly foreigners from relatively close by. It would be ludicrous to criticise them coming to our country when there are Somalians we could be victimising.

The idea that we would want more bigoted, middle class racist cunts, like Ms McDonagh in our country disgusts me and I would far prefer almost any other nationality to arrive on our shores than narrow minded fuckers like her.

These are not in any way the views of IPTV WF by the way, just that this page has linked to that old account I have.

  4. WTF?

Has the BNP hi-jacked the Telegraphs domain name?

  5. What Orlaith just said. Muslims are new Catholics

  6. So, to avoid living in a country full of imigrants you should move to another country? It's astounding that there's people who can't see the irony in that.
The story of the increase in population is also in other "Newspapers" with the whole problem being put down to immigrants although it tends to be phrsed as "mothers born outside the UK". Both my sisters were born outside of the UK and one of them has recently had a baby. I wonder if the figures for children born to mothers born outside the UK include British people who just so happened to have been born in a foreign country

  7. Actually, given that he doesn't like foreigners, surely he'd be xenophobic rather than racist?

  8. "EmperorCharlemagne"'s comment has to be satire. It HAS to be. Likewise the comment to a related article about "society unfairly pressuring families to produce fewer children" which repeats Christian god's instruction on multiplication and fruitfulness as guarantee that there will follow resources to all, then goes on to add that if England is overpopulated (regardless of all these godly blessings, I assume), the immigrants should be relocated out of the country. A lack of logic and coherent thought this vast has simply GOT to be satire, or I shall cry.

  9. That article and the comments following it are nothing less than shocking.

I wonder how many of those commenters would be 'brave' enough to air those views in real life and not via the relative anonymity of the internet.

  10. Wow! I thought the Mail commenters were racist twats. I used to get the DT (now just the DTs!)as we were were in the Fantasy Footie but I don't remember it being this bad.

    (Word verification – ureterr!)

  11. Thank you for reading this, so we don't have to! I don't know how you can bear it every day.

  12. Kind of impressed their commentators know what dhimmitude is. Now, where's my blue shirt?

  13. Mark@IPTV_World_Forum, it'd be better if you could call out racism WITHOUT employing sexism – i.e. not using the words "bitch" and "cunt" which rely for their power as insults on the denigration of femaleness.Thanks.

  14. How much worse can it get?

    *sigh*

  15. Good Grief! I'd decided to give myself a day off from ploughing through crappy comments from Mail readers but the bastards turn up somewhere else.

  16. "How much worse can it get?"

Strap yourself in for at least four years of tory rule to find that out.

  17. "How much worse can it get?"

Read Amanda Platell's missive on the same subject, arg.
