Extremism: report it!

With pleasure. I note from the Google ads on this very website - this very one indeed, the one which you are looking at now - that the Met Police are looking for leads in the fight against extremism. Ads such as "If you've seen something suspicious call the anti-terrorism hotline" and "Extremism - suspect it? Report it. Call the anti-terrorism hotline" have led me to make this confession:

Dear anti-terror people

I am writing to you on the back of the Google ads you have placed on my website, suggesting that people should get in contact with you regarding 'extremism' and anything 'suspicious'.

Personally I regard torturing another human being as 'extremism', yet it's something which my elected government is happy to allow to happen, so long as it's far away in Guantanamo Bay, Diego Garcia or any other 'black site'.

Yet no-one has arrested David Miliband for turning a blind eye to the torture at and rendition to these sites, nor has anyone done anything about the Prime Minister, who has done nothing to try and stop this torture and rendition from taking place.

I, like you, regard torture as extremism, and placing people in a concentration camp as being an act of state terrorism.

Please could you arrest these men forthwith and take them in for questioning. I know there are many websites which support the actions of these state terrorists - perhaps you could investigate those as well? They are constantly approving of murder and torture, so long as it is carried out as part of a spurious so-called "war against terror". Some of the people on these websites claim to be left-wing and 'libertarian' but they seem rather unlike that to me. Their support for terrorism should be investigated too, in my opinion.

I hope you don't mind me mentioning to you things which I consider to be 'suspicious'. I consider it suspicious that my nation's elected government allows people to be tortured and does nothing about it. I consider it suspicious that we do nothing about torture and murder overseas, preferring to pretend that it's part of a 'war against terror'. I think that's very suspicious indeed.

I wish you every success in dealing with these suspicious characters.

You have to tick a box that says it requires 'urgent police attention'. Well in my view, torturing people does.
