I have the sudden urge
- and I really don't know where this came from - to go along and watch a large building be demolished.
How do you find out where these things are happening? When's the next one being blown up? Why isn't there a website?
I need answers, goddamit.

Group outing. I’ll bring the flask of weak lemon drink.

Try asking the local council who have to approve demolitions or perhaps local demolition companies.

My brother lives in Glasgow and they are doing a series of demolitions of tower blocks there. I’m guessing that’s not too handy for you though.

I’ve just been on a training course (for Virgin Trains, incidentally, so I should probably recommend you get the train) with a guy who, when asked what he used to do, said he was “into demolition”. I should have asked him if it was a job or just a hobby.

Not quite the same but outside my office window right now a tower crane is being dismantled on a building site. It’s not demolision but it’s more fun to watch than work!
