Joerg Haider, it turns out, was at the very least bisexual. A bigoted far-right idiot, I grant you, but not averse to man-love. Just as with Pym Fortuyn, you can hear the gentle melting of other bigoted bastards' brains as they try to put the two facts together: he was a racist (good), but he enjoyed man-on-man fun (bad). (Fortuyn wasn't entirely racist anyway, given his taste in men, more anti-Muslim than anti-foreigner)

Some astonishingly odd comments appear on the Mail's website.

Er, have a look at this:

Petzner insisted: 'We had a relationship that went far beyond friendship. Joerg and I were connected by something truly special. He was the man of my life.'

Yvonne refuses to believe that a racist (hooray!) could possibly be gay (boo!). And she's not the only one:

It is a shame that someone is not allowed to have strong political views without being persecuted for their sexuality which cannot be chosen. We are who we are and sexual preference should not be entered into the equation.

Petzner speaks of his immense fondness for his mentor and friend Jorg Haider, he didn't mention a sexual relationship at all.

Why do these people not want to believe it?

Does ANYONE really believe this ultra-convenient story now being banded about which has just the effect the lefties in Austria want and which the first sentence of this report sums-up so well. Officials of the AFtFfA Party would do well to thoroughly investigate these claims by Petzner and find out either a) how much he is being paid to make them or b) who is blackmailing him and why?

Oh dear, you're in denial, aren't you? Look, no-one forced him to go to gay bars. No-one forced Petzner to admit their relationship on television. And there's nothing wrong with it! Unless you're a bigoted cunt... ah. I see.

Now here is an interesting problem for the liberals. They wish to denigrate this man because he did not subscribe to the centre left concensus but they dare not because he was a homosexual. Beyond the pale in one respect, beyond criticism in another.

Not really, DL. He was a fucking scumbag wanker. Who happened to be at the very least bisexual. It's not really a massive conundrum. You may think that 'liberals' are incapable of criticising people from minorities due to PC gone mad, but then that's because you're a fucking twit.

The late Joerg Haider was despicable for many reasons, but his sexuality wasn't one of them.
