I'm very excited about this new-fangled thing they appear to have in the United States called 'democracy'. Over there it appears that in order to do something, you actually have to have a vote of elected representatives on it, even if they are terrified into voting against their instincts because of the most scary woman in the world:
Eek! So scary, I've just shat myself. Imagine her saying nasty things about you! You'd have to go and hide in a corner to protect your delicate soul.
Luckily, in tonight's vote there'll be no scary lady to make the boys all cry. What is a little bit worrying, though is how in a matter of such supposed bipartisan importance, just getting over the finishing line is seen as enough. What does it say if these measures pass with a 51% vote - is that really good enough?
