If New Labour judged others by the standards it set the public sector…
...it would probably label itself a 'failing government' - after all, hitting targets is the only thing that matters in the world, isn't it? And New Labour are going to miss their target on child poverty.
If New Labour were a school, they'd be placed on special measures - sorry, what's it called now? 'National Challenge'. That's it. A brilliant idea to let in privatisation by the back door, er, I mean, to improve 'failing' schools by using private-sector expertise.
A Labour government.
