Clobbering families
Remember this, from the Telegraph last month?
"When you start clobbering families for driving a run-of-the-mill car or people carrier then people will start to notice and that will cause us difficulties."
Compare it with this today, in the Express:
“Instead of supporting them when they need help, this Prime Minister’s response is to clobber hard-working families with yet more tax rises.”
The first quote, supposedly, came from a 'Labour insider'. The second comes directly from the Shadow Chancellor.
Is this consensus politics, or is it a bit odd that a senior Labour politician would be on-message in the Telegraph - for the Conservative Party?
