Sticking the knife in

Dead woman found on beach by two young girls. One of those stories where reader comments seem utterly superfluous. But even I was surprised by what the Mailites came up with:

Bet they don't go poking around in discarded plastic bags again...
- Helen Donovan, Evesham

Yes, the bitches! That'll teach em!

How horrific for these little girls and their family. I do hope they receive proper support and counselling to help them deal with such a grotesque experience. It will be with them for life. My hugest sympathy to the whole family.
- Lesley, Stone, Staffordshire

Well yes of course it's a traumatic thing to find a human head isn't it. That's obvious to anyone except a complete idiot. Oh...

Given the brainwashing that goes on in today's schools, the children were probably more horrified to find a plastic bag on the beach, than a head.
- Frank, Warrington, Cheshire

What? Mind you, it is a sly dig at the Mail's pisspoor attempt to suck Gordon Brown's dick over plastic bags - please ban them Gordon! Oh you have: hooray! - so I shouldn't complain too much. (CF: Today's pisspoor attempt to suck Gordon Brown's dick over cannabis. Please reclassify it Gordon! Oh you have: hooray!)

I hope these two girls are just given plenty of love, peace and understanding by their parents who - if they've any sense - will not let them suffer those ghoulish "counselling" morons whose "work" more often than not actually reinforces and magnifies the sense of horror. These girls now need to forget and get on with the rest of their lives.
- Chris, Tamworth, UK

Yes, pull your socks up, stiff upper lip, repressing traumatic memories is universally acknowledged to be the best thing to do...

Blimey, no one comments on the bodyless victim... she must have been horrified too.
- Marcin, Hertford, Herts

Well quite. Doesn't anyone give a shit about the dead woman? Oh, she was a Lithuanian migrant worker, I wonder why not...

I am more concerned with the children being taken away by the Social Services. At the very time they need the comfort of their family they are thrust amongst strangers.
- Peter, England

What? The kids aren't in care.

Pardon me for asking, but were these young girls on the beach on their own?
- Anne Southwood, Cambridgeshire

No I won't pardon you. The kids were on their own because children are allowed to be on their own sometimes. That's part of growing up. Everyone should be allowed to. There aren't paedophiles and murderers lurking around every corner. If you want mad children who have no sense of individuality and who are ruled over by tyrannical parents 24 hours a day, repressing their identity and causing huge amounts of psychological problems for the future, then fine, monitor their behaviour every single second of the day. Otherwise, don't.

And finally...

The astonishing thing is the number of Eastern Europeans in that area, which is one of the most deprived in th UK with a very high unemployment rate. It is almost unbelievable that Angus or Tayside should actually 'need' an influx of immigrants to do any job in those areas.

Nothing to do with what happened to the poor woman and the trauma suffered by the children but clearly part of the indictment against the society that has been created in the UK over the lat 10 years.

- Ian, Maidstone, England

Why turn everything into an assault on immigration? Oh I forgot, because you're a total cunt!
